With a skills shortage in the automotive industry, Nathan, the Business Owner of The Engine Bay in Salisbury Plain, decided it was important for him to step up and help support Repco Authorised Service at the Adelaide Careers & Employment Expo May 10 & 11 2024.

The expo was a great way to introduce students (both boys and girls) to the automotive industry and show them how Repco Authorised Service can help them pursue a career within our industry through apprenticeships.

Taking it a step further, Nathan also coordinated interactive workshops on basic vehicle maintenance and diagnostics throughout the expo, giving hands-on experience to eager learners. These sessions not only demonstrated the practical aspects of working in the automotive industry but also emphasised the critical thinking and problem-solving skills required.

By connecting directly with the students and offering a taste of real-world scenarios, Nathan and the team were able to spark a genuine interest in many attendees, showing them that a career in automotive can be both fulfilling and exciting. The workshops were a highlight for many, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, making the path towards a career in automotive more accessible and appealing.
